Well - I tried the suggestion of picking a different time to go out (3AM) and missed him on this trip.
Think I will try the civilized channel 16 approach next, then move onto the trailing lines approach. Will update with results.
Not a good idea. I know of two guys that were shot at in NJ. for just tying off to a high flyer while tuna fishing. You start F-ing with another mans livelyhood and there is going to be a price to pay. Not only will you be at risk, but think of all the lobsters and so forth that will perish until the traps eventually break down.
Talk to him, then report him if it continues.
I would like to add how many times you go out and right in the middle of the channel there is a lobster bouy!!!I thought it was against the law to set up traps in the middle of the channel.
I would suggest hailing him and let him know that his light is blinding you, but I would also pick up a large mirror as Shoe suggested.
