Not sure if you have it in place but when you register there should be some verification.

There's been a lot of spammers on the site.

Maybe put the image verification up there. Or even have a test question. Some sites have a "Test question" like "What is the first name of Sportfishermen.com's admin?"

Which the answer will be in a stickied thread in every forum like "Welcome to Sportfishermen.com"

Just some thoughts, it's worked on some other sites i was a mod on.

Actually we have a system in place that blocks 95% of the spammers from registering.

We try to remove the spam posts and threads as fast as possible with the help of our members who report them (as you do, thank you)

We prefer to get more members with a handful of spammers mixed in than no spammers but lose a good number of people who like the site and want to register.

speaking of spam..anyone else getting those REALLY graphic e-mails from highjacked accounts..all originate from hotmail..i mean its sick..sometimes my daughter sits on my lap while i'm on the comp..i'm afraid to open my e-mail when she's around.
