    890lb Blue Marlin Caught in Tobago

    A Junior Angler caught a possible world record Blue Marlin during the TTGFA Marlin Madness Tournament in Tobago on Saturday.

    The 11' 2" Blue was brought to the scale on Saturday, the last day of the tournament, and weighed in at 890lb.

    nice fish... That thing was fat 11 feet for an almost 900lb marlin seems short... post the pic I want to see that beast....hana pa'a .... VVV

    Awesome fish for the Trini tournament! This might even get some of the guys who fish Venezuela every year to try the little islands to the east.

    With this great news I think I'll go home and crack open one of the Carib lagers I have in the fridge...or maybe a Shandy Carib...or maybe some Trini rum...oh decisions, decisions.

    Funny you should mention that. Capt Jakeg and I were gonna skip venezuela last year and fish the Trinidad Tournament. We didn't know any of the boats there so we just started downloading the rules and were in the process of looking for a boat. The first rule was all boats must have an operable radio Needless to say if they have to but that in the rules we were a bit scared off. Well it turned out most do and we would have been fine. Maybe next year.
