    that's a shame,

i'm not that excited by that. if you look carefully there are also two other dead one's behind in the pickup. what's that all about? i thought striper fishing had a three fish limit. not blue marlin. how about if i catch three and bring them back to the dock in cape may? how's that gonna go over? i'll weigh them at jim's bait and tackle.......anyone want to help me throw them in the dumpster? personally, i'm with tred on this, this is dumb. and will continue to be dumb. if we as fisherman continue to look at this and think it's ok, well you think different than me. i think it's a shame, and this is a great forum to change this. i know, tournament's, boat sales, yada, yada, yada, but..........it's wrong. at this point in sport fishing. stop promoting it. JMO! alex.

sorry but the other two fish were from another boat and yes they were both under the tournament minimum of 400lbs i believe one was 361 and the other quite small at 258 but he was penalized the penalty points as per tournament rules. a tournament minimum of 400lbs is not the norm at tournaments most are 300lb especially in central and south america. and we take great pride in our releases for quite a few years now no fish have been boated. just because one person messes up you can't bash everyone you would be surprised about the professionalism of our game fishing association even though we are a caribbean island and have many great anglers and captains
oh and by the way the kid did really well and i think you are trying to take away from him and the fact that his catch is a new igfa record for a junior angler
thanks hubris for commenting when you knew none of the facts

    you know what barack,

you.......dont know what your talking about. but thanks for putting it in perspective for me. now once again, how much did they weigh??????????? thank you, i'll not say another word but,in my opinion, this is dumb! oh, but how foolish of me, a child caught it. excuse me, cant deny the children. how insensitive of me...........IT'S STILL DUMB! but i dont care. kill em, kill em all. in fact this year, im gonna fish with a gun. if it comes in the spread.......BAM! shot by a six year old mind. nothing's getting away. i'll do my part.

yes a junior caught the 890lb the kid on the right of the fish
he had nothing to do with the smaller two totally different boat
go look in other posts they are small dead marlin in a few others that i have seen even commented on
the guy who brought them was penalized as per tournament rules
and if you have a concern the trinidad and tobago game fishing association has a website and an email so you can take it up with them about raising the minimum above 400lbs

    yea, the bigger the better,

im gonna get a 357 magnum, and a 44 magnum, the most powerful handgun on the face of the earth. now let me ask you something mr. blue.......do you feel lucky? look, my point is this. where is the forum, the platform, the body of fisherman that protect's this species? stop blaming everything on the long liner. everytime, i see a dead marlin it's alway's the same thing. [they were at the end of their life] [ we only kill 1 percent] [they were penalized for that] if we dont do it..............who's gonna do it? im not at all embarrassed to say this. i dont care what everyone think's. im not being an ass, i really believe this. when are you, gonna believe it? that's all. nuff said, by me.
