Thumbs down the $8.00 (16 oz.) BEER....

    i guess it was a 16 oz....

i've been a Washington Redskin season ticket holder for many years....BUT prices are getting out of hand....ticket prices are bad enough....but season parking and food/beer concessions are out of control....

$40.00 for a round of 5 beers plus tip....

this to see some very talented athletes...and some others who should probably be in jail....sure the NFL is BIG business but when they price themselves out of affordability for the fan and have empty stadiums and NO $$$ to pay these lucrative contracts and signing bonuses who are they gonna blame....or are they gonna ask for a federal bailout.....

remember NFL owners......GREED does not breed success on and off the field......and i along with many others would not have a problem watching a game AT HOME on the couch and NOT spending $$$$ at your stadiums.....

just a thought here......like in any buslness you dont wanna price yourself out of the game......since i know... at alot of NFL stadiums with expensive season tickets and seat lease packages there are gonna be quite a few empty seats around the league....and rightfully so

Totally agree Hat! It's much nicer to watch the game (any game) at home. Cheaper everything and you don't have to deal with the crowds and or loud a-holes that get drunk at games and ruin it. Especially with kids in ear shot of the dude or dudes.

$7 for a beer at a phillies game. $3.50 for a plain jane hot dog. Not me...........

Plus I like to see re-plays of great plays like yesterday's tripple out play by a Philly. Good stuff!

    Hat...

I'm with ya. I'm a fan of watching from home already. I'm two hours from Philly or Balt = pain in the ass.

    - I don't have any lines at the fridge.
    - I don't have any lines at the grill.
    - I don't have any lines at the bathroom.
    - I have instant replay.
    - I have my laptop to monitor my fantasy football team's latest fiasco's.
    - I have a couch.
    - I can flip through a total of about 10 different games throughout the day.
    - I can still go to the farm to feed the deer or do whatever else needs to be done.

The only way they'll get me to the stadium is if the network coverage turns to shit. I feel like I see so much more of the game from home, there's lots of 'distractions' as the game.

Solution = flasks of liquor snuck in

I totally agree. I almost pulled the trigger on Redskins tickets this year. Then I actually thought about all of the other expenses that go along with it. I'm glad I decided not to get them. I'll be watching them from the couch and hopefully I'll still make a game this year using someone else's tickets.

Gave up my tickets last season as well.

It was cutting into my fishing time anyway.

I'm glad I dont drink... Miami they get $40 for parking and $10 for a beer. Game day program is about ten and a dog is $5.I used to go to a game or maybe two a year. Then my daughter was selected for their Junior cheerleading squad and we did like 4 games that year (along with a dozen practices).

The last couple years we just never got around going. 1-15 year probably just as well. Last year though would have liked to go.

This year though my daughter is being asked back on the squad... Then my wife is signed in to do a half time show with her Jazzercise group... Jeeze is this gonna be a season of running around. I'm gonna miss much of it though as I don't head down til almost mid season... Missus will have like six practice sessions over the next six weeks til her show. Mini may wind up doing a whole 16 trips but at least she can driver herself... Still being a good Dad, I guess I'll have to show for a couple of the games and cheer her on...

    Scott, Greed is Good.........

The NFL is the best run corporation in America. With a trillion screaming fans to prove it. You'll be there, eating wings, and drinking beer where ever it is. I never understood drinking beer anyway, its for drunks!
