I had heard the Coasties were shooting at the engines to try and stop the smugglers at sea, but that second shot looks like they were aiming for the driver (if that's a bullet/cannon hole).

Maybe, but its from South Florida

i was thinkin more along the lines of the white one from colombia... any of our enlightened LE brothers care to guess what was used on to knock out the engine?

Whatever they were shooting at/hit, they did a good job cleaning up.

The gunnel isn't a round impact. The engine could be but the hole it large for the normal single shot tht is used to disable the engine. I'm betting on aliens
