Yep get the biggest you can afford without going broke. You will be glad you did when it gets rough.

dude we went from a 22 to a 28 and we said the same thing "its only 6 feet" well lemme tell ya its a big 6 feet.On a boat a foot goes a long way and it will be the best 3 or 4 feet that you ever buy.DO IT ... its way way way worth it in the end.

Spend the extra money now, so you don't end up doing it again a year from now...an extra 3 feet can make a huge difference

Everything said so far is true. Just don't spend so much that you can't afford to go. I would rather have the smaller boat and not have to think twice about being able to take off work for a day, or go on a long weekend to Hatteras because it might cost too much. Also do some research because there are some 28s that don't ride as well as some 25s. But as always when its rough bigger is usually better.

    Bingo.

It's far cheaper in the long run to grow into a boat vs out growing smaller ones as your needs increase. Enjoy the hunt.......

I agree with what everyone else is saying. I moved up from a 25 walk around to a 28 fly bridge and have fished on a couple of 28 center consoles. You will still have to pick your days but when you compare a 24 degree deadrise 28 footer to a 19 degree deadrise 25 footer you won't believe the difference in ride as well as pucker factor in rough seas. Make sure you choose the one that will fit your type of fishing the best.
