Been fishing on a 28' Southport CC this past year and it is amazing compared to the 23-25' range IMHO. There has been a used 28' SP on the other site that is now a incredible deal on a almost new boat!!!

Started out looking at a 26 Regulator, which is certainly capable of running offshore. Long story short, I ended up seeing the Southport 26 and was impressed. Then when I sea trialed a 28 it was over. Spend the extra money now, as opposed to losing money when you would trade/sell in a few years. You will be glad you did. Go for it

The guys are right above!! This is Boat #4 for me wish I would have bought this boat to begin with. Couldnt ask for more out of a boat that I trailer everywhere. If I was leaving it in the water I would have gone bigger.....Mark

My take on this, There are certain manufactures with great CC boats in a certain size class. One particular boat was mentioned above in the 26 CC class. The 26' Regulator can hold its own. Also this season Composite Yachts is offering a 26' true inboard diesel power, carolina flair Center Console. She sips fuel.......This is a sweet sled. Here is the link to the thread.
