As much as it pain's me to say this..America doesnt care. Look at the posts around 11PM..motorcycles for sale..Low with his usual soft ****..test drive a *****..only 2 posts pertaining to The Bill.Taken as a slice from the whole..i guess it reflects how little Americans care about just what this means..not even in costs.but in Goverment intervention, bypassing the Peoples wishes, throwing the Constitution out the window..gone is the phrase "We the People" replaced with "I The Goverment" This will only get worse unless we take our rights back and vote these assholes out, find out who voted what and toss 'em out. Americans-0 Big Brother-1.

Although one may disagree with this health care bill on a personal basis, vitually every poll shows that American citizens are pretty much equally divided on this bill. There does seem to be an ever so slight nod in favor of the reform among our citizens.
It will be interesting to see what the Courts say about the various state Attorneys General constitutional challenge of this bill as it relates to the Federal requirement for all citizens to carry health insurance.
Although I would not have voted for the bill if I were in Congress (due to the mandate to require all Americans to participate in a particular activity) , there are some provisions that I support and believe are in the best public interest.
I'm curious to hear what your objections to this bill are.
I guess my biggest disapointment with this bill is that Republicans offered no realistic alternatives to the proposed legislation as a unified force.
Right or wrong, it is clear to me that this mentality of the Republican party to do nothing in terms of change, is the biggest reason why they lost the Presidential election in '08.
(Don't get me wrong, sometimes no change is the best policy, but it seems clear to me that Americans wanted some changes in our health care insurance coverage.)

One reason you don't see that much action is not everybody lives in the shadow of Rush Limbaughs ass.

Reform was needed. Republicans had the white house and the congress for 6 of Bush's 8 years and made no attempt to fix the system

Here are some of my major issues.....

    (1) This is another government handout/subsidy to the tune of over $1 Trillion. We need less government...not more....

    (2) The way the "benefits" of this bill were calculated is that you get 10 years of taxation for six years of benefit.....another shell game with the real costs versus benefits

    (3) Only the future will tell, but I'll bet my money that this bill actually increases the cost of health care instead of decreasing the costs....which way will the cost curve actually bend?

    (4) The bill does not adequately address tort reform.

    (5) Too many back door deals that have yet to see the light of day. This may be an arguable point....but we'll see as the lights begin to shine more brightly.

OK, so in fair play, here is what I like about the bill...

    (1) Will prevent cancellation of policy due to severe illness/sickness

    (2) Begins to reel in the "pre-existing condition" BS...even though this will take fours years to actually be in effect for adults.

When the republicans controlled the white house and congress they didnt want to fix any thing. just spend more and more money unfunded like the medicare prescription program bushie signed and didnt pay for? Dont get me started on bushie the lucky sperm heir. Obama is doing what he is supposed to do. why would anyone be alarmed? He ran on the anti bush, anti rubber stamp republican platform. and he won big time.

Thumbs down hmmmm...how much for malpractice insurance now......

hmmmmmm.....so let me get this straight......now instead of paying for my own health care......i will in the long run through taxation and other means that the Bama Clan sees fit....paying for others who can not provide for themselves......

and to think if drug testing became mandatory to be eligible for welfare.......guess more would be milking the system since they would be in rehab under this "new bill"......

many many doctors will retire.....under this new plan.....can only imagine how many malpractice cases will arise.....tis ok...Bama will give free medical schooling to foreigners so they can set up shop for free here in America.....

p.s.......GLENN.......the Republicans will be united with a plan in Va and help alleviate the debt that the Dems have created...... the only change that will prove to be successful is Virginia and Massachusetts......it sure is not in the White House.......
