1st Annual SFC Kids Rod Classic Offical Thread

Ok guys lets keep the trash taking out of this thread and in the other one.

The 1st Annual Kids Rod Classic will take place on sunday May 27th in Cape May. All entrants must check in at Off The Hook Bait And tackle at 7:00 AM to pay the entry and pick up the official rules. All WFA rules apply.

1.The cost of entry is $100 per person.

2. No boat may leave Hinchs Marina prior to 8AM and all boats must return for weigh in by 3PM.

3. Total entry fees will be split 50/50 with half going to a childrens charity TBD the other half will go to the heaviest striper weighed in.

4. ALL bait and tackle must be bought at Off The Hook Bait And Tackle except for the rods and reels since they only stock my Superman rod. (Your welcome Chuck and Mary)

5. Each throwback striper caught must have a picture taken with a digital camera while being measured with the a clear shot of the measurment. In the event that no keeper stripers are caught the winning fish will be the longest throwback.

6. In the event of a tie the person who reached the scale first will be the winner.

7. All reels must be push button and be on the matching rod that it comes with. Reels can be spooled with braid and a 20LB test maximum.

All rods should be inspected and boats checked
You should only be allowed to go out with the kid rods and in full view of the rod holders.

Lets get some actual kids involved too if we can...
(just a suggestion)

Call Chuck and preorder your rod and reel combo.
Or Capt Harry's has them in their 2007 Catalog I just got. They had a sweet Dora the Explorer set up.

In the spirit of being "serious" and not going down the long line of questions I have about Barbi products .... Is this a tournament for kids...or a tournament for anyone using a kids rod?

Striper only? If not...Chuck / Mary have you guys setup the Aquaman Planer Rod yet?
