FL White's Tackle Fishing Report 7/15/09

Good morning,

The summer heat has set in and patterns have changed and slowed. There is plenty of bait on the beach and around the buoys. The kingfish bite has been good all around and every once in a while someone will have a good day on dolphin. Bottom fishing was actually pretty good the last few days but there has been a lot of current. I have heard of some nice muttons, mangroves, and a few decent greys caught this week. A few cobia are still popping up here and there so keep your eyes open.

Inshore fishing is still good. There is a lot of bait in the river as well. The redfishing has been picking up and some decent fish in the 26-30" range are schooling up. Snook and trout fishing are still decent but you better get on them early.

Have a great day!

-Scott
