FL White's Tackle Fishing Report 7/1/09

Good morning,

Not much from offshore. It looks like another day or so of wind but it looks nice for the long weekend. There are still some scattered dolphin and sails around and plenty of kingfish on both the reef and the beach. I haven't heard too much about bottom fishing this week. There are plenty of big A.J.'s around and still some nice mutton snapper towards Jupiter.

Inshore, snook, snook, and more snook. There are big snook under docks, bridges, and in the inlet. There are medium to large snook on the flats, and plenty of under slot fish in the mangroves. Redfishing has been a little disappointing so far this summer but there are enough to scrap together a day if your in the right spot. Trout fishing is o.k. but not as good as it was a couple of weeks ago. Some nice flounder are lurking around in between spoil islands. My friends have been gigging at night and getting some nice ones in super skinny water.

Have a great day!
