Fishing with Ralph and Sherrie aboard the Hooked Up out of Fort Lauderdale
October 21st, 2011
Today we had Ralph and Sherrie from Montana out for a few hours of deep-sea fishing aboard the Hooked Up.
Today we went right to kite fishing with 4 live baits suspended from our kites.
At first things started out kind of slow waiting for a bite but than all of a sudden out of nowhere a sailfish popped up and within seconds we were Hooked Up.
Ralf jumped in the chair and the fight was on. After a good 15 min fight Ralf had his first sailfish to the side of the boat. We got a couple of quick photos and cut the leader off right next to the hook and watched him swim away in great shape.
We got the baits set right back out and BAM another bite this one turned out to be a nice dolphin fish.
Guy’s thanks again for fishing with us and hope you guys have a great time on your cruse to the Bahamas.

Weathering the Weather aboard Hooked Up A Must Read
October 16th, 2011
Today was one of those days aboard the Hooked Up in which the weather was rough and rainy but somehow everything we tried just seem to produce fish.
We started the first of our 3 fishing trips today with Richard and Jess from Boca Raton Florida, Allison from Coconut Creek Florida, Aditya from Delray Florida and Toney also from Coconut Creek Florida.
We went right to fishing with live baits hopping to catch a sailfish of some dolphin fish. While we never found any good eating fish we did manage to catch a big shark and a monster barracuda.
As we got back to the dock we had Robert from New York and John from Miami Florida eager to give there luck a shot.
Once again, bearing in mind we had some crappy windy rainy weather, we went right to big game fishing with live baits set out there hopping for a quick bite.
And that was just what we got. It was a matter of minutes, after setting the baits out that we got Hooked Up with a big sailfish. Robert jumped in the chair and the fight was on. As Robert was fighting his fish another big sailfish jumped on the other line and now we were Hooked Up with a double header.
At first both fish were dancing all over the surface but once they settled down they both went down deep and the back and forth tug a war was on.
I will say that while both guys were doing battle one of them was well let’s just say not feeling so good. But all the same they hung in there with Robert’s fish being 81 inches and John’s being 80 inches it turned out to be a great catch.
Here’s John feeling great but not feeling so good at the same time.

Holy cow what a blast and that was a wrap. Both guys had caught what they were looking for and we headed back to the dock.

Here is the E Mail Robert Sent us about his fishing trip aboard Hooked Up with his buddy John.
(October 16th, the water was rough that day with 8′ swells. John was chumming the waters with breakfast while the trap was being set. We hooked the first on with in 10 minuets and the second one was on before I got the first one halfway to the boat. Two good friends setting side by side in the chairs fighting two very large fish for twenty minutes….. WOW!! it doesn’t get any better than that.
That was it for the day. John was soooo sick and the crew did such a great job we headed back early.
I would be more than happy to write a review for you.

Than as we were cleaning up the boat a third fishing trip came along with Timothy, ToFu, Alex, Anthony, Thanh and Thuan all from Dallas Texas.
I don’t know what it was about this rough weather that made everyone want to go fishing but off we went on our 3rd trip of the day.
This time we went to trolling the reef hopping that if we kept the boat moving maybe these guys wouldn’t get seasick. It worked half way because 3 got sick 2 were just ok and one was having a ball.
We ended up catching a couple kingfish, 1 dolphin fish and a nice shark.
To all of our anglers today thanks for weathering the storm and no extra charge for the weight loss program (LOL)
