Fort Lauderdale Fishing Charter Established in 1970s

The Fort Lauderdale fishing charter boat "HAPPY DAY TODAY" was established in 1970's. The original boat the "Lu Lu" from New Jersey and was a 1968 42' Clipper Craft, my father brought the "LU LU down to Ft. Laud in 1965.

My father started the business and taught me how to fish in the early 70's. About 9 years later, I purchased a 47' Andy Mortensen sport fish called the "Happy Day Today". Since 1979 after owning a wood boat which is very labor intensive, I decided to purchase a 46' Hatteras.

The Hatteras is an excellent proven ocean deep sea fishing boat. We have airconditioned salon, generator, all tackle and everything for your charter. The "Happy Day Today is the longest running charter boat. There are some of the charter boat owners that have been here for their earned tenure, however there are also many new charter boats who have popped up and fish cheap within the last 5 to 8 years.

What we would like to offer and honer is our morals, fishing hard yet having fun. What is the point of a Fort Lauderdale fishing charter if no one is having a good time and catching fish. We encourage you to look throught the site and check out old photos of the boat, as well as check around town and you will see that earned reputation hard work and good crew.
