Tarpon Tarpon Tarpon they are making me crazy

This time of year we fish for allot of Tarpon between Jupiter and Miami.
This week alone I have been out every night. The fishing is has been just OK, and our average this week was poor.

Mon 0-5
Tues 1-3 about a 50lb fish
Weds 0-4


The more you fish for them the more you want togo ! Its driving me nuts.

I have to drive to the West coast, Punta Gorda FL to work on the Bertram for the next few days.
I will be thinking of Tarpon til Monday.

Thanks Jeff, thanks for posting that tarpon that doo-dooed all over my arm. That tarpon was a great fish anyway. I caught him on 12lb right infront of the 395 neon bridge to South Beach. The shrimp-run was in full effect, we were right in the middle of all them Cuban shrimpers screaming and yelling over their louder than Van Halen diesels. Those guys were pissed that we were catching fish RIGHT IN THEIR FACES. They were cursing us as we chased that tarpon around channel on 12lb, but by the time I lifted that monster out of the water, they were cheering: "La Corriste El Perro, Acere!"
