Post Swindell, Hughes land huge swordfish south of Port Everglades

Capt. Ken Swindell didn't think he was bringing up that big of a swordfish on his electric reel Saturday morning.

Capt. Ken is a customer of mine. He got a chance to come over last week and brought me these pics... He was using a rigged squid on a 12/0 Swordie Special and (2) night tamer lighsticks taped together fishing bottom in about 1750'.. If you zoom in on the top picture, you can still make out the lightsticks glowing after 12 hrs...
This fish would have easily shattered fl. record if not for 2 things. #1 - electric reel and #2 - 2 people on the rod.. But even so congradulations Ken and Cliff on an outstanding catch!
