Started the day early, lines in at 6:30am, nothing seen in the great blue, trolled all the way to 1200 ft, only saw a few fliers and some scattered weed, so we came in , and that it where it was today. First up was a Bonita, at least we got the skunk off and had a decent fight. Then the way way back rt rigger pops off, put my son Richie in the belt and after a while boated a nice King, smiles all around.

then the fun began, while resetting and rerigging I spotted a turtle about 20 ft off the port side, grabbed my pitch rod , rigged with one of those tube lures for Spanish, and tossed it at the turtle to see if anyone was home, sure enough a Cobia came a lookin. He ate and fight was on on my small spinner, what a great fight, a quick gaff and in the box he went, my first Cobe in my boat. He was 35 inches.

Trolled a little longer and picked up a Spanish Mackeral and another larger King. Called it a day and we went in to beat the showers. Here they are getting ready to be prepared for Dinner.

No Dolphin today, but the Cobia made up for that..
