Speeding with the Spring Kings (4/2/2007) Tampa
After an early trek over the skyway to the rondevou point we were off. The seas was calm with 2' chop. I was over at the east coast last week in 5-7' so this was a blessing! A quck run to a public reef we stopped to get some bait. A mix of blue runners, spanish sardines and cigar minnows. We started the troll right from the bait stop and it didn't take long to hook up. With one on then down rigger, 1 flat line, 1 swash line and one free line way back, we had it covered. The bite steady all day. We even made a run out further and caught more kings and a couple of big cuda. We even saw a bill fish out there. When the weather cooperate its' great out there in the blue waters. Thanks Glenn it was a drag screaming fun and I got to use some of my old offshore gear. The bite was good and beats the old saying..at the end of the trip "but, it was a nice boat ride today.." ![]() I got some nice drag runs on the helmet cam footage to boot... Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BE9FI0oH_n0 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
