Somebody said I've been spending too much off time on here so with it cooling down into the high 80's and a trickle of fish comming in, I'm spending more time on the water.
Took the 31 yesterday on a bluebird gorgeous day. Steady pick of small backfin. Missed a pee wee dolphin. Picked off a solo sail.
This morn I did a very rare solo ride on the 43. More to just give the engines a run and knock some of the mung off the bottom. I guess she slides a bit too quick in normal 650 rpm idle for them litlle tuna to catch up. Dropped it to my low idle of 400 but seemed too slow and hooking percentage down to a couple for maybe ten bites. Had a blind bite that ran down and hard I was hoping might be a wahoo. Turned out to be a giant skippy. Didn't see a sail today.
Got back, cleaned up, did a couple chores on the 31. Went pig hunting for a couple hours. Saw a dink, a doe but nothing worth wasting a bullet on. Did see some nice track though that will have to be worked on maybe tomorrow.
