12-22-10 WEDNESDAY: BLUES, POMPANO, BLACK DRUM AND REDS

It's going to be another gorgeous day at the inlet. This morning winds are blowing out of the North at 5 mph and the water is calm.

Yesterday Pompano made a strong showing with quite a few landed on clams. A few good sized Black Drum came over the rails yesterday, Diane Buyce of Melbourne landed one that was 22" along with the 3 Pompano she landed. Chuck Fischer of Satellite Beach brought in a 25.5" keeper Red on shrimp and Mike Ricciardi landed a couple of keeper Pompano and 5 shorts. The Bluefish bite slowed after mid morning.

We received an update from Lydia of Sebastian who was surf fishing yesterday with her 8 year old daughter Isis le-Tolbert. The mother and daughter team tore up the Blues as you can see in our first photo today. Lydia said anglers were doing well with Pompano using sand fleas. Thanks for the update and photo Lydia!

Photo # 2 is of Logan Todd of Grant and his grandfather who were fishing the north jetty on Friday. The fishing buddies landed many, many Blues using a silver spoon and finger mullet. They returned all the fish. Logan fishes many other spots but he really likes the inlet.
