    Sebastian Inlet fishing report 11=2

11-02-10 TUESDAY: SPANISH MACKEREL, POMPANO, BLACK DRUM, BLUES, BLUERUNNERS AND REDS

It is another beautiful morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the west at 5 mph and the water is calm.

Yesterday there was a little bit of a Black Drum bite in the early morning hours but none later in the day. Spanish Mackerel and Pompano came over the rails along with Bluerunners and a few Jacks. A couple of nice Reds were landed toward the evening hours. We are all eager for the cool down that is slated to happen this Friday, hopefully that will help stimulate the bite as it's been pretty slow for this time of year.

Our angler of the day is Justin Ritchey, a student at the University of Florida. Justin and his Dad fished the inlet over the weekend and ended up landing this Black Drum using live shrimp on the tide change. Nice catch Justin, go Gators!

11-01-10 MONDAY: REDS, SNOOK, SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUES, BLUERUNNERS, JACKS, POMPANO AND FLOUNDER

It's a real pretty morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the East at 3 mph and the water is calm. The no see 'ums are out in force so you may want to take some insect repellent if you head to the inlet today.

Over the weekend the bite wasn't particularly strong but there was a good variety of fish landed. Blues, Jacks, Snook, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Pompano and big Reds were brought in by the weekend anglers. Oversized Reds were the most prominent catch.

Our angler of the day is Lydia Le of Sebastian. Lydia landed her 32" Snook using a spoon last Monday. This beautiful Snook was Lydia's second of the day, the first was 27" and had to be returned to the water. Lydia landed her Spanish Mackerel on a spoon as well. Very nice Lydia
