Sebastian Inlet fishing report 11-19
11-19-10 FRIDAY: SPANISH MACKEREL, BLACK DRUM, FLOUNDER, POMPANO, SNOOK, REDS, SHEEPSHEAD AND BLUES
TGIF Anglers! It's another windy morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the Southeast at 19 mph and the waves are crashing against the jetties, giving anglers an unexpected shower every now and then.
The bite has been good this week with anglers bringing in some beautiful Spanish Mackerel on greenies and Gotcha lures. Good sized Black Drum have been landed on clams and shrimp, oversized Reds, oversized and slot sized Snook, Pompano, Flounder, Whiting and Blues have all made appearances.
Sebastian Inlet District Commissioner Jim Culberson, wife and trusty hound spent the past nine days camping at the inlet and reported some beautiful fishing going on! Jim said the finger mullet were stacked up in the shallows along both sides of Coconut Point and Flounder were steadily being caught up and down the length of the inlet from both sides. Limits of Spanish Mackerel (15), Pompano, giant Reds and slot and oversized Snook were landed from both jetties. Our first two photos today are courtesy of Jim, thank you Commissioner!

The Sebastian Inlet State Park will be hosting its Night Sounds concert tomorrow from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. which will feature the act "Atlantic Bluegrass" which is a five piece band. Get out and enjoy a little music this weekend, it should be a beautiful night for it. The concert is free but park admissions apply.
Have a great weekend!

11-18-10 THURSDAY: SPANISH MACKEREL, BLACK DRUM, POMPANO, BLUES, SHEEPSHEAD, FLOUNDER AND REDS
It's a wild and windy morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the East at 17 mph and the water is churned up.
Spanish Mackerel made a real good showing yesterday with many anglers limiting out at 15 according to inlet regular Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach. Greenies were the bait of choice although Gotcha lures work well too. Five Black Drum came over the rails on fresh clams, the largest was 26" landed by Tony Swiderski of Sebastian, Mike had one at 23.5" and the rest were between 17" - 20". Several nice Sheepshead were landed on clams and dead shrimp, Mike landed one that was 4 lbs. Pompano passed through hitting shrimp and sand fleas and Whiting were in the mix throughout the morning. Thanks for the update and photos Mike!
