February 1, 2010 - Fishing Report
Sailfish season is here and its still a good bite! This past week we had sailfish on every trip we fished for them. While it may or may not continue, you sure won't catch any unless you get out there and try! Blackfin tuna fishing on the hump is spotty. Live bait is really the way to go if you want to do the tuna. There have been some blackfins caught by the boats that are sailfishing. Mutton snapper are being caught while sailfishing by putting a ballyhoo down on the bottom. On the reefs the there are kingfish with some consistency and the yellowtail snapper are still providing steady action if the current and wind are working together. There have been some big cobia caught in the past week too.
