October 3, 2011 - Fishing Report
October has come in with a cool front and I saw sailfish showering bait on the edge of the reef yesterday. Blackfin tuna are biting on the Islamorada Hump and the 409 Hump just about every day. There are still some dolphin offshore but not really in schools like they were just a short ago. Yellowtail snapper are biting on the reefs and there have been some nice muttons and kingfish caught lately. Expect sailfishing to get good in the next week or two.
