JULY 25, 2010 Fishing Report
Dolphin Fishing is OK right now, lots of small fish to catch and throw back and some gaffers. There are a few larger fish being caught. At the Hump amberjack are biting and some days the blackfin tuna are biting. On the reef the yellowtail are bite is as good as it gets and there are grouper and mutton snapper biting from the reef out to about 180 feet. Kingfish are still here too. Mangroves snapper are starting to bite on the shallow reefs. On the wrecks the Permit are spawning and if you find them on the surface they will eat a crab in a heartbeat. Tarpon and shark fishing is good in the evening in the near shore waters.
