Queens to Conquer Kings at Ladies Tarpon Tournament May 14-15

MARATHON, Florida Keys — Girls will be girls, but the title of “fairest one of all” is up for grabs at the annual Ladies Tarpon Tournament, slated Saturday and Sunday, May 14-15.

The two-night tournament kicks off with a final sign-up, mandatory captains meeting and luncheon at noon Saturday at Lazy Days South, located at 725 11th St. oceanside at mile marker 47.3.

Lines-in is set for 5 p.m., with lines-out to be called at 9 p.m. Anglers and teams can return to Lazy Days South for dinner to swap fish tales about who royally bested the silver kings.

Lines-in for Sunday’s final night of fishing is set for 4 p.m. Lines-out is to be called at 8 p.m.

The tournament dinner and awards presentations for individual anglers and teams are to begin at 9 p.m. Sunday at Lazy Days South.

Entry fee is $175 per angler, with two anglers maximum per team. An additional fee of $40 per team is required to compete for team awards. Social tickets for the awards dinner are $50 per person.
