Peacock Bass July 22nd
While fishing the past 4 days. I have not seen this many peacock on nests since june 13-18th. It appears that the full moon set them into another spawning session: They "dated" and found their mate, and now are nesting. They are still acting very weary though. In the upcoming days look for them to be very hateful. Theyve acted very weary lately, expect the reciprocation!!! same as my last report. Early morning hours are the hottest right now. 6:15am-7:45am. and the dusk hours as well. At night, Artificial light is an excellent attractant if you know where a couple is following their children. Shine the light in the general viscinity and the babies will come into the light. My buddy caught a 7 pounder with me the other day. 1 hr of no luck fishing turned into another monster. I'll have the pics up soon. |
