OU – Islamorada Fishing Updates and Information

[OU Sportfishing]

Captain John has a mixed report as he is currently moving That's Right up the coast from Islamorada to Ocean City, MD.

Out of Islamorada the night time tarpon fishing is still great. Offshore in the Gulf we are currently fishing on the Pretty Work which will be here in the Keys all summer! They're getting all the dolphin you can want but small...in the 15-20lb size. On the reef the kingfish, yellowtails and the mangrove snappers are biting real good.

Out of Ocean City, MD the shark bite has turned on. But we're going to have to start a new thread for OC here soon! Stay tuned!

Bonefishing in the flats has been real productive with 7-10 fish/day. In the back the permits and tarpon are biting real good. Offshore the dolphin are around in great numbers but they are really small ones. We should be getting the larger gaffers by the end of the month. Fishing on the reef is phenomenal!

Sorry, we've been slacking on this but we're still fishing here in Islamorada on the Pretty Work and backcountry on our 19' twin vee & 19' Willy Roberts.

Reef Fishing has been outstanding with groupers, permit, mangrove, yellowtails, muttons. In the backcountry the snook have been great as well as the speckled trout being everywhere along with redfish and tarpon. Here's the latest audio report.
