Great Dolphin Fishing Today!
Capt Joe called in and had a great day today. Reported catching about 50 Dolphin, keeping a nice bunch for the coolers, letting plenty go. Fish were up to 20 pounds and he ran about 20 miles or so offshore to find them!
With the North wind that's starting to blow, he's heading south tomorrow looking for the sailfish to start biting...Stay tuned!

S. Florida Swords and Sails Report
Holiday Sailfish and Swordfish!
Well sailfishing has been spotty up and down the South Florida Coast. We have had some good days and some really slow days.We had a good day today where we went 3/5 on sailfish just north of Ft. Lauderdale. Yesterday we made a quick run to the Bahamas and caught some nice Mahi Mahi and a few Wahoo. A few days ago we had 2 good trips where we caught lots of Mahi Mahi and quite a few sails! With the cold weather we are having now and the strong north winds we are expecting to have a great week this week! There should be lots of sailfish around and the tarpon should start to show up also!
We did 1 swordfish trip last week and had 4 bites landing 1 fish around 90lbs. Looks like they are finally starting to bite also! The night time and day time bite has been really strong with some really big fish being caught. I am looking forward to this week!
Stay Tuned!

Sailfish Update
Things seem to be getting back on track here, atleast to some extent after the cold streak we've been experiencing.
It's been pretty snotty the last couple days, but the temperatures are back up into the low 80s and the wind is out of the E/SE. The sailfish are starting to respond pretty well. Yesterday we had 3 of 5 out of Lauderdale flying the kites on our 45 Cabo on a full day, and Capt. John Oughton just called in on his way in from a short morning trip. Both our Evans and Whiticar fished here out of Islamorada this morning and from the sounds of it they each had a decent number of shots and released 3-5 apiece. John commented that if it wasn't so damb rough they'd probalby have had a few more. Bait continues to be tough in the morning, and ballyhoo is the name of the game. Seems like the conditions are right and tomorrow should be even better.
