Got back down here to Castle Deep last night... Good to see wife and kid...
The 31 needed the dust shook off and our plan was to go early thirty... A flat tire had different ideas for us... Instead I chaneed it out, and had sears fix the boo boo (they were closest to house). Walked around the mall while they worked. Got missus a coffee...
Finally got to boat about 11:30... While they were bringing it off the rack I was saddened to hear my good friend from the ship store had quit after eight or nine years... Damn! He was a 24/7 fixture in that place, always looking out for me and those I brought there.
Good to hear the engines purr... and soon we cleared the inlet into a light north east chop. Dirty out to about 120' then sharp color change. Bonito city there so I set ou a bit deeper... Trolled out to 650' and found a nice trickle line. Picked dolphin then had wahoos ravage my supply of little day saver lures ... Without them I couldn't get the blackfins to play...
Oh well great day with missus. Meat in the fridge. Gonna eat some jap food and have my piece of cake. Today might be my birthday but tomorrow is the big day on my calendar... 10-12 hours of surgery to rearrange my jaws and teeth...
