Need help to choose a charter
We are comming on holliday from Denmark to stay in the keys (Tavanier OP-Suites) Me and my son had desided to go fishing but we are not sure what kind of fishing we should go for. What kind of fishing offers the most action? Any sugestions on a good charter boat or some we should keep away from? We have a budget on 500-600 dollars. I had asked some for a splitt charter but they say it is very difficult to set up this time at year. Do anyone know a website where we can seek for someone to fish with. |

They do offer "make up charters" (split) at $300 per person Contact them to ask if they will have any make up charters for when you are in Key Largo Welcome aboard! |

Whale Harbor marina does a nice job of putting split charters together... Inshore fishing with a guid on the flats is reasonable and the better ones are at Bud and Mary's a couple miles south of Whale Harbor...
Offshore there are some dolphin, the edge will hold snapper. The back will have a nice mix... Over Under is a first rate group and its possible they can help you too.. |

It will all depend on what time of the year you arrive.
go down to the charter docks and see what they are catching the boats are working hard to put splits together all the time. A good boat will do everything from sailfish, wreck fishing and snappers. figure out which ones you like the best on the crew and what they have to offer. have a great time. there are a bunch of great boats down there! have a great trip!

when are you planning on coming down to the keys? what type of fishing did you have in mind? in addition to whale harbor and Bud N Marys, come by Holiday Isle and talk to myself or Capt Don on the Gold Reserve, we can try to set you up with a split or put you on another boat that will suit your needs.

Thanks for your help.
We are leaving Denmark on the 25. sep. We are arriving to the Keys on 28. sep and leaving 4. oct. I am not sure what type of fishing we are looking for. Some with a great fight maybe Dolphin, tuna, wahoo, shark or something like that. If anyone here can set up a splitt charter we are on. Why isent there a website where sportsfishers can hook up with eachother for splitt parties? Thight lines Kim |
