Marlin My Darlin Ft lauderdale report 11-23

Ft Lauderdale deep sea fishing continues to remain productive inside of 200 feet of water. As you can see by the photo we are still doing well on Wahoo. Pictured is Mike who resides in Delray Beach. Kingfishing continues to be erratic with the few bigger fish taken falling for live baits. Live bonito continue to be a good choice and our go to bait for the bigger Kingfish and Wahoo. Big push of Sailfish for only one day, but now that has slowed considerably. Still some available as we raised four into the baits today but could only get two of them to bite, and landing just one as the other Sail shook the hook after a full ten minutes into the fight. Can’t catch them all unfortunately, but it would be nice. Once we get them hooked the majority do make it to boat side for release.
Wreck fishing is spotty and we have put that on the back burner so to speak. Occasional Dorado (Mahi-Mahi) and some into the teens weight wise but no big numbers for us nor the Bahia Mar fleet. Swordfish are not on the menu as the Gulfstream is too choppy and uncomfortable that far offshore with the front to pursue them. Beat the rush and let’s go deep sea fishing in Ft. Lauderdale before the Xmas rush. We can put you right on the property and you can walk to the boat as the hotel is offering great rates on rooms before the winter season gets into full swing.
