Marathon in June

Hey everyone!

I was thinkin about doin a short trip in June down to Marathon I've got a friend who will rent me house and boat so I can just take my rods down.

Is the offshore action decent in june?

Lots of dolphin out there but also a lot of thunderstorms in the afternoon...

Sails and tuna gone by that time? Should be pretty calm if I avoid thunderstorms....

Tunas can be trolled near the humps that time of year and its not impossible to catch a sail near the edge but not in numbers you can count on... Some stray marlin get picked by those hunting the dolphin...

I've been down a few times in June and July. Dolphin, dolphin, dolphin

there are always 'some' sails on the edge and kings, grouper, snapper, tuna and lots of dolphin ... you will have fun! get a top spot chart kit for the area you are going to be fishing in and have fun. lots of swordfish also...

Alright guys looks like we'll be goin last week of may. Am I better in Marathon or Islamorada?

Also want to get a decent night in at the bar

As for gear what should I be takin down, I've got some TLD25's which should work well I'd imagine
