We had the pleasure of taking David and Dominic (Pops) out for a full day, picked the Jersey Boys up at Haulover Marina and had lines in the water a few minutes after 8:00am, we immediately got some action, 2 porgies for Pops and a King for David, after a few minutes we decided with the ocean so flat we would head offshore and troll for dolphin, we were unable to locate a weedline or find any floaters as we trolled out to 1000 feet, as we headed south in about 800 feet the short ballyhoo with the blue and white Ilander on it starts screaming and David is on the rod, after a nice battle and a few jumps we boat the 18 lbs. Bull dolphin, we proceeded to head inshore to try a few drops and grab a few more kings, we had numerous cutoffs as the kings were not hitting anything with a wire leader, so we rigged a few ballyhoo with triple hooks and landed 3.5 more kings(shark, cuda??) and a barracuda (25 lbs. +), we also managed to catch a beautiful strawberry grouper that was released. Great Day on the water with lots of action.
