Lower Keys report 9-10

Susie and Ken Palmer fishing with Capt. Dave Wiley out of the Lower Florida Keys and Big Pine Key for two days experienced some good action on the flats. On day 1 Ken had several shots at permit but could not connect. Later Ken did score a 6# bonefish release and Susie hooked another of similar size. Several bonnet and lemon sharks rounded out the day. On day 2 Susie shined with the release of a juvenile tarpon of about 18# and later released this “fatty” 9# bone (see picture).
