My wife and I are heading to Jupiter Feb 10. Wondering if anyone would like to take us fishing. Of course we would share all expenses. We have access to a boat in Jupiter.(26 - 28 ft cc) if anyone wanted to jump on to show us the lay of the land(water). We are looking to have some fun and to warm up in the Fl. sun. Winter sucks we need to get on the water.
Thanks John
Our trip is next sat. Any tips for Jupiter fishing will help. Inshore and other water . need to know where to fish. Reading tips about so fl how to fish helped me alot , now where?
thanks, John
If I get some week days off I may be able to help... Fishing here is pretty simple. Head southeast of the inlet. Jupiter is a couple miles when it starts dropping below 100' set out a spread of say three ballyhoos and a small pointed lure in purple, blue or blue pink as a basic spread. About 5kts will do. Work from 100-250' and you'll fond fish. Live bait can be had there but it's like a hundred bucks a dozen. Same game get to the edge and set out just three. 50lb mono and 6/0 hook jst behind the head. Boat bumped in and out of gear...
If I free up I may be able to go. 561-301-6309

Trolling dink hoos is better from Jupiter north for sails but will catch their share of fish south. I prefer mostly naked baits but will add a blue/white or pink/white squid skirt to one if it is rough. Big piece of advice is watch out for the groups of boats kite fishing and avoid zigzaging in and out of them. Also watch out for all the dive boats flying flags. If you buy some pilchards, which are cheaper than $100 a dozen, set up a drift between 90'-140' just off the Juno pier. Use Balloons with bait 6'-15' below to get bait away from the boat, set one up deep on a heavier rod just off the bottom. If you can find a color change that is where to fish. I heard this week the bite has been from the Loran Tower north to Ft. Pierce for sails. If it warms expect the fish to push back south a bit. Look for more boats to be dragging dead stuff to the north and live baiting to the south. Good luck, fishing can be amazing this time of year.
