Anglers are getting a New Year's present over the weekend. Winds will be 10 knots, and seas Saturday are forecast for under 1 foot. Sunday looks like 2 to 3 feet. Combine that with temperatures around 70 degrees, and you've got the makings of a great weekend of fishing. It might be time to make plans to make the run out to the ledge. If the trolling doesn't produce, bring out the bottom rods. The snapper and grouper bite is on, and some beautiful fish in the 20- to 30-pound range were caught. Live bait has been tough to catch.
