The yellow fin bite is still going off around the many oil rigs off shore in this region.Ran a trip out Nov.22-23 overnight blackfins busting the surface all night,great action on light spinning tackle with spoons.Yellow fins usually bite just before first light.Hooked up on a couple really nice YFT just to get broke off around the rigs did manage to get a couple in the 50-60# range as well as one a little better.Could have sunk the boat with the blackfins.I think we had about 40 or so.Trolled for a little while coming in,did manage to raise a blue,but he wasnt serious.Stopped at a shollower rig on the way in to play with the AJs and a few groupers.Pleanty of meat to go around thats for sure.Tight Lines
