Took a trip with Capt Pete Perry and Dano and the weather wasnt looking very good so we went with plan B and stayed within sight of land.We fished a reef with some decent success with live shrimp and a hard to find bait,mahara,wich in my opion is the very best snapper bait on the planet.They have been very hard to find since that bad freeze 2 years ago.After each of us getting a few mangos up a goliath below eats my fish I was battling and breaks my line easily.But I was ready for him with my big spinner set-up and a 20" frozen mango from my last trip.If you put the smackdown on a goliath at youre spot,you greatly increase youre odds of not losing anymore snapper to these reef bullies.
