We didn't get out Tuesday or Wednesday but here is the reports for the rest of the week.
We had two trips today. We had four people on the morning trip. We started the trip trolling. As soon as we got baits in the water we were getting bites. The kingfish and bonito were snapping again. We caught kingfish and bonito for a while until we got our limit of kingfish. Then we went to try for something different. We had a couple of live baits so we fished them and caught a nice barracuda before heading in to get our afternoon trip. We had six people on the afternoon trip. They wanted to try for some mahi-mahi. We headed offshore but there were no mahis out there so we headed back to the reef to catch some fish. We put the first bait out and caught a small blackfin tuna. We trolled the reef and caught three kingfish. We then went to one of the wrecks. We dropped a live bait and missed a bite. We reset on the wreck got another bite. This time the fish stayed on and we caught a big almaco jack before heading back to the dock.
We had a morning trip today with five people. Three of the guys were with us on the afternoon trip yesterday. We went right to trolling. We caught kingfish and bonito until we limited out on kingfish again. We trolled out deeper looking for something different but didn't get any bites before running out of time and heading in.
We had three brothers on a morning trip this morning. We went straight to trolling. As soon as we got the first bait set we had a kingfish on. While we were reeling that fish in, we started setting out another bait. Before we could get that bait set we had another kingfish on. We got the first one in the cooler and put the bait out again. We got the second fish in the cooler and got another one on. The fish were biting so good that we got our limit in about an hour and had to stop fishing for them. We went to a wreck and dropped a live bait. As soon as the bait got to the bottom it got bit and we caught an amberjack. We started heading back and stopped at a couple of other spots but no other fish.
