Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report 08/21/09

No trips for the past couple of days but we had an all day today. We started the trip catching live ballyhoo and speedos. Then we went to where we wanted to be and put them out. We caught a couple of kingfish on the downrigger bait, two bonito and jumped off a sailfish. As we were fighting the bonito another one came up with it so we wound one of the rigger baits in and the other one ate it. We ran out of speedos so we decided to troll for more kingfish. It took less than an hour of trolling to fill our limit of kingfish and we still had some time left so we tried some snapper fishing. We caught some yellowtail snapper and missed a few more before heading in.
