The best bass fishing has been at the south end of the lake, with wild shiners, crankbaits, swim baits and Gambler Giggy Heads all producing fish in the rim canal west and east of Clewiston and the dynamite holes. Most of the bass have been 2-5 pounds, although a few fish over 8 pounds have been caught this week. Fishing for speckled perch has been slow, with a few specks biting in the rim canal.
