Marathon Florida Keys Fishing Report - Captain Chris Johnson, SeaSquared Charters - November 17, 2010

Despite a lack of current and ultra clear water, Henry Todd from Lakeland FL and Tom Waite from Leicester MA put the hurt on the snapper, grouper and hogfish on the patch reefs in Hawk Channel off Marathon.

In just a half day charter, the pair caught two keeper red grouper and released a bunch of short blacks and gags. They also brought back their limit of mangrove snapper, a couple of 15-inch yellowtail snapper, Spanish mackerel, a large mutton snapper and a fat hogfish just as a bonus.

The reef and patch reef fishing is red hot right now. This is is a great example of what you can expect in just a four-hour trip!
