As far as we could see today, it was solid Birds, Bait and Predator fish. Tarpon rolling, Spinner Sharks Flying through the air and Spanish Mackeral tearing up everything that moved. The water was absolutely Black with baitfish and countless times they sought the Refuge of the boat, trying to hide from the "Teeth" that were all over!!! A true "Feeding Frenzy."
The outgoing tide North of the Venice Inlet created a very distinct LINE between the dark- Fresh run-off water from the estuaries, and the cleaner, green Gulf Water. Along the LINE, the fish were creating Havoc. There were boats everywhere getting in on the action.
This is only a sign of the fun to be had over the next couple of months as the water cools and the Fishing really turns on.
