Day One of the Pelican Yacht Club Invitational Sailfish Tournament

Today was day one of the Pelican Yacht Club Sailfish Tournament and fishing continues to be good.

We are in 2nd place with a few days of fishing left. Top boats has 12 releases and we ended the day with 10

Day Two Pelican Yacht Club Invitational

Today was day two of fishing for us in the Pelican Yacht Club Invitational Tournament. We had a tough day today catching only 4 Sailfish for the day.

Fishing on a whole was still pretty good with a 1/2 dozen boats reaching double digit releases and many other boats in the high single digits.

Report Date: January 8, 2011

Today was the last day of the Pelican Yacht Club Tournament and also was the last day of fishing for the 2010-2011 Treasure Coast Sailfish Championship. We released 9 Sailfish on the Boneshaker which I have mated on 5 out of the last ten seasons.

We started the day 7 fish out of the lead in the tournament and 3 fish back in the championship.

We ended up coming in 2nd place in the Pelican Yacht Club Tournament with 23 releases in 3 days of fishing. We were also fortunate to end the season as the 2010-2011 Treasure Coast Sailfish Championship Champions. We had 73 releases breaking the previous 3 Tournament record by 15 fish. We won the Championship by one fish over the 2nd place boat.

Sail fishing continues to be good to excellent so pack your bags and come and get in on some of Stuart FL Sailfish Charters near Orlando and Palm Beach FL. Sail fishing shall remain good for the next 4-6 weeks.
