11-8-08- St Lucie Sail, Phin and Mackerel oh my

Today we started out at 5:30, left the Stuart inlet and headed East. Found lots of weeds starting in 150 ft, lines in. Not too long after that - Zing - left rigger pops. Short battle later a small Dolphin in the box.
Continued in the area but no more were to be found. Headed deeper and made a run out to 700 ft. Water looked decent, started to troll back in South of Push Button Hill. Again left rigger pops, then the right flat line hooks up. SAILFISH on. Brought him boatside for a photo op and released him healthy.

A little bit further the Right rigger pops and a bigger Dolphin jumps and spits the hook, Damn.... Circled the area but could not reconnect with any. Came in and we caught a Barracuda in 200 ft of water, quick photo again and released.
We then decided to head to Pecks Lake to try our luck at Spanish Mackerel. We Cast- SCORE - Caught 26 before we got tired of catching them and came in. Another great day on the water.

    Total Tally:
    1 Sailfish - released
    1 Barracuda - released
    1 Dolphin
    26 Spanish Mackerel
    2 Bluefish - released
