Subject: Possible Grander coming ashore in Bermuda

Wound Up will be arriving at Spanish Point boat club this evening (July 7) at about 6:00 pm to weigh a blue marlin that Capt. James Robinson estimates is in the 900 lb class. The short length is 132 and so I think it could very well be a grander, but we'll see............. anybody interesting should get to Spanish Point Boat Club at 6:00 pm.

Jonathan

More later, probably from James himself !

Interesting length comparison?

It'll be interesting to compare lengths and weights once the weight is known. The Ihu Nui's World Cup winner at 773.5 pounds had a 130-inch short length. The same day, the Kona boat Alibi weighed a 793 with a short length of 134 inches (not entered in the World Cup).

Subject: WOUND UP - GRANDER CONFIRMED

The blue marlin caught aboard "Wound Up" just tipped the scales at 1,049 lbs !!!!

Capt. James Robinson is officially running the hottest boat in Bermuda this year. In May he broke a Bermuda record by catching 52 wahoo in a single day and that month he also won the local Bacardi tournament, and then last week his team won $49,000 during the Bermuda Billfish Blast tournament, and now a GRANDER !!!!

Jonathan

Congrats James - you're on a roll ! I kinda think the short measurement was a bit skinny though ?

Nice fish James....pretty work. Looking like after the past few years, Bermuda is a grander spot.
