Unreal..... Its hard to get a perspective on size in those pics. How big do you think they are? I know you said there are some big ones.

So cool. How rare to be able to see them from that perspective.

Thanks for sharing!

best way to explain it

my best out here, by way of measurement worked out to approx 140lbs. tried a 100lb spring scale and bottomed it out. in the pictures, you can see the thing is just a fatass. keeping that mental image of the fish from time it was free swimming, to strike, to fight, to gaff, i can tell you that the ones that ive seen recently make that one look small.

if you can view them in close proximity to a porpoise, you might get them confused, and the only way you can tell is the vertical tail and the 2-3ft long sickle.

the ones in the pictures i put up today are prolly 70-90lbs.

mater of fact, im bored, lemme see if i can fire up the spot lite and get a couple shots of the bigger guys...

What I noticed is they would lay back about 10 yards back and maybe 10 yards off the side of the boat and usually would sky towards the boat it seemed like most of the flyers would get crashed as soon as they were airbourne what was really crazy was the Pacific side it was not the same as the Gulf fish, like I said I have seen stripers doing the same dance on the Pac. side but don't recall ever seeing the yellowfin, Keep it coming Satan I love this shit!!!PEACE
