an absolute monster of a fish!! very impressive!!
BUT here goes! It would have been alot more impressive if it was released to keep the gene pool stocked with grander_DNA!! I wonder on many occasions how long it'll be before we reap what we sow!! Non the less its a beauty of a fish and congrats , i am green!! Later |

I bought that until I went to his website
[quote=Jason @ Melton Tackle;161461]hodx,
Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. I'm certainly not going to knock your opinion, I respect it. It's a personal decision that one has to make with a fish on the line. I think it's premature to say that the fish was wasted without knowing anymore details. I always tell myself that I'd release a fish like that, but you never know the condition of the fish when you finally bring her to the boat, etc. Things happen during the battle that can severely hamper a fish's ability to survive. It's a terrific angling achievement and we shouldn't take away from Stephan Kreupl's angling feat. My congratulations to Stephan, Captain Yann and the Rodrigues Fishing Club. Check out his picture gallery- he kills ALL of his fish. |
