Got an email from angler Stephan Kreupl. It is now official, this fish is now the 80 lb. IGFA record Blue.

Congrats Stephan and crew of the Black Marlin!!!!

There goes my Mid-Atlantic 500,000 fish. I guess I'll be fishing for bigeye or white's this August.

an absolute monster of a fish!! very impressive!!

BUT here goes!

It would have been alot more impressive if it was released to keep the gene pool stocked with grander_DNA!!

I wonder on many occasions how long it'll be before we reap what we sow!!

Non the less its a beauty of a fish and congrats , i am green!!
