The problem with the latest generation of the product is the thread backing on the vinyl is too thick, (heavy) and doesn't run as well as the old style (or last as long). The OLD Vinyl had much finer thread on the back, was tougher, ran better and had a finish everyone preferred. All of these are very subtle differences only the true HARDCORE Hawaiian riggers would notice and turn their nose up at the new stuff like it was a cheap French Wine that had found it's way into the Bordeaux region....

All that being said we located some of the old inventory and bought it all...It was stored right next to some Original Saskatchewan Seal Skin Binding in a warehouse in Quebec, Canada...Don't even ask about the progressions it took to locate this stuff...Like I said it took two years and Weston is now fluent in French....What we won't do to catch fish!!!!

October Can Be Tough, Don't target Swords.

It all depends, but if a special FAD goes in place here...Fishing will be good for a variety of species not just Threshers...Mako's seem to make a big showing in the fall here, but not in big numbers MORE in size...If you hook one it's gonna be a DOZER.

We can usually get a Thresher shot in the tightest of times fishing 3 Nights, Swordy's live here all year, but October can be tough, I would tell you to go Albacore fishing because there can be a bunch of 60-70 lb. fish around AND at the same time you can have a Swordy rig out. It's not a bad time for Big Eye Tuna...

Check with me in September and I will give you the update and try to provide a decent forcaste...

Crazy time at night is late winter / spring for Threshers, then the Swordy's show up...Late Spring sees everything come into the night time realm
